2012 Outlook "At 54 strong, the largest Temple team in its 25-year history is feverishly awaiting the start of the 2012 spring season. Our team may not be recognizable as we have an entirely new and extremely motivated coaching staff, our fleet of racing shells has been completely overhauled, and our team is more lean, fit and rowing better than at any other time in the past 16 years. The coaching staff has attracted a record number of distinguished high school athletes as walk-ons which has fostered an extremely competitive winter training environment on the erg. A few of our novices are now leading the team on the erg. Currently, the team is preparing for its annual spring break training trip to Deland Florida and is excited about starting the season at the 30th Annual Murphy Cup on March 24 followed by a trip to the San Diego Crew Classic. For the first time in recent history we will be boating a Lightweight 8 this season. This should help push both the Varsity 8 and 2nd Varsity 8 throughout the season."
