2012 Outlook "We’re working hard to improve our standing inside of the very competitive lightweight league. The sophomores are going to play a big part in the speed of the 1V and 2V if we are able to accomplish the goals we have established. The freshmen class has a lot of talent and should be very quick once again this year."

2011 Outlook "The University of Pennsylvania lightweight men worked very hard last year and saw one of the best performances at the Eastern Sprints in the past two decades. The team has continued the hard work and dedication to be the best they can be this academic year. The 10 seniors that graduated last year have left a hole in the program, but everyone is stepping up to fill their seats. We are very impressed by the performance of our freshman class and look forward to them making a difference in our program for years to come."

2010 Outlook "The University of Pennsylvania lightweight men worked very hard this off season and have continued to make strides in our fitness and strength since we returned from winter break. With a strong base of leadership coming from the 10 seniors that are currently on our roster, we are looking to improve from past years results. It is going to a very tough feat, racing in what has become such a competitive lightweight league, but this team is working to establish the basis of a successful program for years to come."

2012 Outlook "With a group of seniors determined to leave their mark, the Penn Heavyweights are hard at work in an effort to gain ground on the always competitive field of Eastern Sprints schools. The squad is deeper at this point in the season than in recent years, and the upperclassmen are showing the maturity of a group hell bent on reaching new heights this spring."

2011 Outlook "With solid senior leadership, a strong junior class, and an influx of aggressive sophomores, the 2011 squad has increased depth and the resulting intra-squad competition is heating up. We lost most of our strongest oarsmen to graduation last year, but the team has stepped up to fill the void and is now bent on exceeding last year's marks. One thing is for certain: the league is every bit as competitive this year as it always is, so we'll need to hit a significant new level this year to hold our own."

- Freshmen 8: 13th at Sprints

2010 Outlook "We have a squad of motivated athletes working hard to improve on past performances. Like every year, we face a challenging schedule this spring against very talented opponents, and any success will be hard fought. Since September, our oarsmen have attacked workouts with a certain abandon, and we'll look to continue this approach during the season."

2010 Outlook "Our athletes arrived on campus this fall inspired to meet the standards we set for them. The hard work they put in paid off in our fall racing with a top 10 finish and the Princeton Chase and a 2nd place finish at the Rivanna Romp. The hard work has continued into the erg room, as we prepare for our spring season. We will head south for our spring break training camp which is always a great opportunity for our team to get geared up heading into our very competitive Ivy and Eastern Sprints schedule. We hope to continue improving on what we accomplished this fall."
