2015 Outlook
"The men’s program at the University of Oregon has seen steady gains in numbers and speed over the past 5 years. This year’s novice class, coached by Delaney Butler, promises to be the largest and strongest of recent years. While the focus for the varsity men will be a V4+, our talent pool of novice men will also allow the program to enter a V8+ and possibly a JV8+, along with a N8+ and a N4+ at key regattas – creating more opportunities for competitive racing. The team’s strongest characteristics this season are unity, camaraderie, and a singular focus to be their ultimate best every day. We believe strongly that this will serve them very well as they strive to build fast crews pushing into grand finals at WIRA’s and ACRA’s."

2015 Outlook
"Following a break-out 2014 season and an incredible performance by our novice women at ACRA’s, this year’s varsity women’s team is setting a new standard for competitive women’s rowing at the University of Oregon. The novice women’s team, coached by Trevor Mathwick, is also excited about and preparing to defend last year’s silver medal performance. Our numbers have grown steadily over the past three years and with changes in allowable race entries per athlete at the WIRA Championship regatta, we should be able to field competitive line-ups in the WV8+, W2V8+, WN8+, and WV4+. This spring racing season also promises to be one of the most demanding in recent years for the Lady Ducks, with participation at Daffodil Sprints, Oregon State Classic, Collegiate Covered Bridge Regatta, WIRA’s, and ACRA’s. We are excited about our surging program and determined to make our name known on the race course."
