2012 Outlook "This year, the varsity squad has a strong group of sophomores that moved up from last year’s Novice WIRA Championships. Six novices also rowed in last year’s JV eight, which nearly pulled off an upset win at the WIRA Championships, finishing 2nd by 2 seconds. In the Fall, this year’s team has shown good speed with a 4th place finish in the Collegiate eights event in the 2011 Head of the Charles.
"We also have four full boats of new novices under the direction of returning OCC Novice Coach Pat Gleason. Pat coached the Coast Novices to 2 ECAC victories between 2002 & 2009."

2010 Outlook "Orange Coast College is a 2 year college in Costa Mesa, California, which focuses on a strong Academic and Athletic experience; preparing young men to transfer to the finest Universities in the country. The Orange Coast College Men's Crew has a great group of Sophomores who are looking to continue their success after a strong Novice year, with key wins at the WIRA Championsihp and a duel victory over Stanford. The Novice Crew is also shaping up to be a fine crew, with a solid group of young men hungry for their first college race."

2012 Outlook "Spring 2012 will be a rebuilding year for Orange Coast College. We have a few returners but are quite young. We are working hard to bring along the 1st year rowers and it is starting out to be quite a strong bunch. We have a mature bunch of athletes this year and they work very hard to gain speed and proper technique. The rowers have very big shoes to fill after last years undefeated season and we are looking forward to our first race!"
