2010 Outlook “Having lost a large and strong group of seniors from last year’s team the Wolverines had a need for this year’s group of seniors to fill the leadership void. With four seniors elected team captains (Adrienne Mecham, Ashley Kroll, Kristin Henkels, and Maggie Cooper) the team will have strong leadership. Michigan will be tested early and often this season as they race against many of the top teams in the country during the regular season. We are excited to continue to prepare for the upcoming season. We have a lot more work to log before we will be ready; if we have a strong winter, I think that we will have a chance of being fast this spring”

2011 Finish
- Varsity 8 - 3rd in Copley Cup at SDCC, Dad Vail Champs, 2nd at ACRA
- 2nd Varsity 8 - 2nd at Dad Vail, ACRA Champs
- Freshmen 8 - 3rd at ACRAs
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 7
2012 Seniors - 16
2012 Outlook "With seven of the eight oarsmen from the 2011 Varsity Eight returning, and a strong sophomore class joining us, we have continued high expectations, with an improved depth from 2011. The large senior class has lead the team's athleticism since they were sophomores and are continuing to lead this year. They are supported by an athletic mix of underclassmen and on the whole our team health and attitude is excellent. We are looking forward to returning to the Dad Vail, defending our team championship at ACRA, and racing at Henley for the first time in program history."

2010 Finish
- Varsity 8: 3rd at ECAC NICR, 1st at ACRA
- 2nd Varsity 8: 2nd at ECAC NICR, 1st at ACRA
- Freshmen 8: 2nd at ECAC NICR, 1st at ACRA
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 6
2011 Seniors - 8
2011 Outlook "This team will be lead mostly by our Junior class. We lost an exceptional coxswain, and the two top oarsmen in the 1V from 2010, one of whom is one of the best I have ever coached. Several talented sophomores and a few freshmen will press the returning varsity members to retain seats. This group does not have any stand out performers on the erg, and we will likely be a few seconds slower on that average this year unless some guys can step it up some. But we do have a lot of competition for seats, with 12-14 guys legitimate candidates for the top boat. Our depth should be a little better than last year, and overall this group is extremely hard-working and becoming more composed in pressure situations. We look forward to returning to Ithaca to begin our season against Cornell, Ithaca College, and Hobart.
"The 1V will return to the San Diego Crew Classic while the rest of the team goes to the Lubbers Cup, which will be a great regatta. A recently combined Indianapolis Invitational and MACRA regattas will make for a great regional championship in late April. The three championships we attend in May (ECAC, Dad Vail, and ACRA) will end an exciting spring racing season. The ACRA on the 1996 Olympic course has early indications of reaching 1500 athletes and growing even more. We know we will be meeting up against some hungry teams at these races in FIT, Virginia, Williams, Trinity, Brock, Notre Dame, Purdue, Hobart, GVSU, Drexel and many others. We will need to be ready."

2009 Finish
- Varsity 8: 1st at Dad Vail, 1st at ACRA
- 2nd Varsity 8: 4th at Dad Vail, 1st at ACRA
- Freshmen 8: 1st at Dad Vail, 1st at ACRA
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 4
2010 Seniors - 10
2010 Outlook "Having lost the majority of the 1V last year, and a few men from the 2V, we are looking for returning Seniors and Juniors to fill-in leadership positions, and rising Sophomores to make a serious impact. Five eights of varsity men have returned, three full eights of them being sophomores. We have a lot of sophomore enthusiasm, and the 1V is likely to be pretty young. There is more parity on this team from the bottom half of the 1V through the top half of the 3V than I have had in recent season. We are adding what looks to be another strong freshman class to our team, which is currently 4 eights of men heading into spring break, several of them exceptional athletes.
"We will again be sending the V8 to San Diego in the Copley, and three weeks later returning to California with the 1V,2V, and 1F to race in the Stanford Invitational. We are excited to send some if not all of our team back to the Dad Vail, and additionally the new ECAC-NIRC League in it's reincarnation. Defending our men's finish at ACRA will be difficult, but we look forward to returning to Oklahoma City to attempt that and culminate our season."
