2024 Outlook - "We are very excited for the upcoming racing season as we are a confident, well trained team ready to launch. The women have worked on a variety of areas to become the best version of themselves. The team chemistry is better than I’ve seen in my 27 years coaching, and we are having FUN which is a very important part of the process. Although we have 16 graduating, we have 13 incoming freshman next year that will be the strongest class in our history. The future of UConn Rowing is bright! Go Huskies!"

2023 Outlook - "UConn Rowing is excited to be on the rise after having the program cut in 2020, then reinstated with the final settlement in December 2021 due to winning a Title IX lawsuit. With the settlement came many additional resources for the program including an increase from 14 to 20 scholarships, a commitment to renovate the boathouse, a commitment to an indoor rowing facility (including 16 person tank), a boat replacement plan, and other helpful additional support. The team this year has more team chemistry than arguably, any other team I’ve coached in the past 26 years. They have done a great job challenging themselves and their teammates at practice, while at the same time lifting each other up to help each other achieve their goals. Our results have struggled in the past few years based on the various obstacles we faced, but now the future looks bright and I’m excited to see how we do head to head on the water. I’m optimistic it is going to be a very fun racing season!"

2020 Outlook - "We are very excited about our spring racing season. With a new indoor training space our practices have been more productive than ever. On paper, our erg scores are significantly faster and we have done a lot of work this year on mental training along with physical training. Becoming a member of the CAA and being able to race in the CAA Conference Championship in 2020 has been very motivating for our team. Top all of that with mother nature cooperating with the weather and we have a pretty good thing going on now! 2019-2020 has been a great ride so far and we are excited to get racing to put it all to the test."

Head Coach - Marysa Semprebon, 4th year
2016 Finish
- Varsity 8 - 2nd in C Final at ACRA
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 4
2017 Seniors - 4
2017 Outlook - "Graduating 10 seniors last year could have had an impact on any team, but these athletes quickly made the program their own. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors together brought a strong culture of positivity, dedication, responsibility, and, subsequently, increased speed to this year's team, and they've responded well to everything they've encountered this year. As the definition of UConn Men's Crew gets clearer, we retain the athletes who will continue to elevate the program in the future. With strong sophomore and junior classes and freshman retention higher than past years, we're looking to add depth and build on our championship finishes from 2016!"
-Head Coach Marysa Semprebon
Head Coach - Marysa Semprebon, 3rd year
2015 Finish
- Pair - Final at Vails, 2nd at ACRA
- Varsity 4 - 5th at NERC, 7th at HOCR
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 4
2016 Seniors - 8
2016 Outlook - "Our large and talented senior class has seen and helped to affect rapid positive growth and change in our program and are working hard to leave their final marks before graduating. We had a very encouraging fall season for both the expanding varsity and strong freshman squads, and with the addition of erg space this year, our winter training has taken on new life. As our numbers grow steadily, so does our ability to begin fielding more competitive big boats. We have motivated underclassmen who know what it means to compete and are looking for opportunities to get involved. The team is looking forward to a new and challenging spring racing schedule. Inspired by the experience of the first men to ever represent our program at ACRA 2015, we are planning to ultimately end this spring season by sending multiple team boats to ACRA."
-Head Coach Marysa Semprebon
Head Coach - Marysa Semprebon, 2nd year
2014 Finish
- Varsity 4 - 3rd at NERC, 22nd at HOCR
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 3
2015 Seniors - 5
2015 Outlook - "The team has attained a level of stability that, for many years, was difficult to establish. The classes of 2014 and 2015 orchestrated a shift in the team's mentality that has paid off in the boathouse and on the water, and which will no doubt continue with the enthusiastic and talented junior class. The attitude this spring is a competitive and positive one as the team looks forward to sprint racing once again."
-Head Coach Marysa Semprebon
Head Coach - Paul Bloom, 1st year
2012 Finish
- Varsity 8 - 13th at HOSR, 6th at Head of the Housatonic
- Varsity 4 - 7th at HOSR
Returning Varsity 8+ Athletes - 6
2013 Seniors - 3
2013 Outlook - "The Men's Crew at the University of Connecticut is coming off a best-ever fall season in 2012 with top-half finishes in the varsity 8 in two races and a top-10 finish in the highly competitive club four event at Head of the Schuylkill. With a very young team, the few outgoing seniors look to make their mark at NERC and Dad Vail while priming the crew for success further down the line. The varsity will be competitive, using the fall results to motivate themselves through winter training. The right focus will lead those millions of erg meters to crisp rowing on the water. A solid freshman class will look to develop further as they hit the water."
