2011 Outlook
"This year's Columbia Heavyweight team has been fun to coach. We graduated a group of guys in 2010 who won some very big races for Columbia. Without them this 2011 team is unproven, but the strongest and deepest that we have had at Columbia. We are taking a total program approach and making sure that everyone is contributing at every level. That is how Columbia can compete. We look forward to getting some much-needed racing experience during the regular season as we ramp up to the Sprints and IRA."

2011 Outlook
"Coming off of our team's first nationally-ranked season, Columbia Women's Rowing will build on that success in 2011 with a bigger, deeper, and fitter squad. Our race schedule features the usual suspects in the Ivy League and EAWRC, but we're also adding new races with Bucknell, Tennessee, and Virginia. Ultimately we're aiming for competitive performances for all boats at the EAWRC Championship and the opportunity to represent Columbia at the NCAA Championship in May."
-Head Coach Melanie Onufrieff

2011 Outlook
"The great thing about our league is that you just never know. All of our competitors are motivated and hard working, so in that we aren't unusual. We'll use our natural advantages - February water time, two Florida trips, and a good home training environment - to develop our speed this spring. We can't change inherent athletic ability or team depth. I'm sure there are bigger, more talented teams out there, but I'm confident our team can match anyone in the things we can control - toughness, skill, training, and attitude. Those components are necessary, but sometimes not adequate, to create a winning crew. We'll see if it is enough in April and May."
