2011 Outlook "REBUILDING. After inheriting, in September 2009, a team of only 3 male rowers, the team has grown ten fold to 30 athletes, with only 2 having more than a year of collegiate rowing experience. Attempting to rebuild in a city that loves rowing, however with the legacy of a team on university probation and declining numbers for several years, has been a rewarding challenge. Generating university support, almost non-existent alumni connections, and necessary funds has been just as much a focus as has been recruiting as many new rowers as possible and raising expectations of quality rowing and race results. Goals this year include increased retention, developing a permanent / sheltered rowing site, and developing a Varsity 8, along with multiple F/N 8s, that target the Dad Vail and the finals of the ACRA National Championship."
