Barry Strauss is a visiting fellow at the University for Human Values at Princeton University for the 1998-99 school year. Director of the Peace Studies Program and Professor of History and Classics at Cornell University, Barry rows out of the Cascadilla Boat Club, in Ithaca, NY, and the Carnegie Lake Rowing Association, in Princeton, NJ. Strauss currently lives in Princeton with his wife, Marcia, his daughter Sylvie, and his son Michael, to whom the book is dedicated.
