Distance: 1,500 meters
Conditions: Steady cross-head wind of ~5 mph. Wind strengthened slightly as racing progressed. 35-45 degrees. Variable rain and sleet with intermittent snow. No current. Water conditions grew choppier as racing progressed.
Comments: - Order of racing: B5*, G5, B4, G4, B3, B2*, G3*, G2, B1, G1. - In the boys fifth boat race, the Choate 5th and the Lyme/Old Lyme 5th boats did not hear the initial starting command, and stared 2 seconds after the official starting command. - South Kent raced its first boat in the second boat race and had minor breakage at 500 meters in (an oar came out of its oar-lock). - The girls third boat race was stopped due to breakage during the start and restarted after the boys second boat race.
