Distance: 1500 meters
Conditions: Cross head wind with moderate chop for most of the course. Flat water with virtually no wind in the last 400 meters. Strength of wind changed throughout the day. Cold temperatures, rain throughout the day.
Comments: First boat race was first and ended with the fourth boat race. In the fourth boat race Taft broke a steering cable at the start and there was a restart. On second start it broke again, and the Taft boat stopped, and then continued to race down the course.
