Distance: 1500m
Conditions: Moderate to strong tailwind for third and fourth boat races, calmer for second boats, then nearly flat for first boats. Light rain off and on, dropping temperatures. Good day.
Comments: Deerfield's First boat rowed one of the fastest early season races in memory at Brooks and looked very strong. They took an early lead and built steadily on it. Brooks' second boat pulled steadily away in the body of the race, and then a bit more in the last thirty strokes. Deerfield's third and fourth crews both rowed powerfully and very much under control, 27-30 spm most of the race. Great day of racing, though we may not invite Deerfield to join us again!
