Conditions: cold, overcast conditions, increasing wind for afternoon racing.
Several of the races used a floating start, some starting as far as 100 to 300 meters down the course, due to the severe wind at the start of the course.
- The course for today's regatta was 1,940 meters in length.
Afternoon racing: The second varsity eight was cancelled after U-M's boat started to take on water at the beginning of its scheduled race with Virginia. The teams raced about 250 meters before the judges stopped the event and rowers were taken out of the boat to allow it an opportunity to return safely to the boathouse.
