Distance: 1500 meters
Conditions: Moderate to strong tail current, decreased as racing progressed as tide came in. Moderate chop for later races. Increasing cross to head wind for last 2 races (boys and girls 1V8+).
Comments: Cannot compare times from race to race as starting point varied - floating start. Novice 8s started approx. 150 meters down. Middletown's Boys' Novice 8+ was a mixed 8 of boys and girls. Avon's boys' 3rd 8+ raced in the girls' 2nd varsity 8+ race due to no other entries in boys 3V8+. Thank you to all that helped make the race day so successful - there were a lot of exciting races.
