Distance: 1500 meters
Conditions: Cross headwind for the first 1000 meters flat with no wind in the last 500. Conditions were inconsistant throughout the day, wind heavy at times.
Comments: In the second boat race Taft was ahead by a seat of open water approximately 750 m into the race when the S. Kent stroke caught a crab and was injured as a result. He was able to recover, and they were able to row across the line.
