Distance: 2000m Conditions: Very strong crossing headwind with medium to heavy chop. Two fours swamped and the regatta was suspended, canceling a planned second round of racing. Floating starts with challenging alignment conditions, and no lane lines. Comments: Portland and Lewis & Clark had varsity squads racing in San Diego, so were only represented here by novice and JV entries. The Seattle Pacific four was behind in its race when it was swamped about halfway down the course. All races were run by USRowing referees.
