Conditions: Conditions: 2000 meters. Cloudy giving way to sunshine, 65-75 degrees. Moderate quartering headwind increasing
in intensity throughout the day, to some whitecapping by the varsity races.
Varisty Men's 8 race: From stroke one, there was never more than 2 seconds difference between the boats,
with the lead changing hands many times in the first 1000. Purdue made a move near the 1000 to gain a 4 seat
advantage, which they held on to through the 1500, when OSU made an impressive move to gain a half deck
lead. The lead changed hands two more time in the last 250, with OSU punching ahead as the boats crossed
the finish line.
