Distance: 1500m
Conditions: Brutal gusting cross-headwind throughout the day. The strongest winds I have experienced on Noxontown Pond in my 10 years of coaching.
Comments: Thanks to all the teams and spectators for their enthusiasm, good racing, and patience. The high wind made the start area very challenging. The 5th 8 race had to be scratched, and the 2nd 8's were not able to safely get to the platforms, and thus they did a "race experience" - building off the paddle with general alignment for about 1200m of racing.
