HS/Scholastic: Cambridge Rindge & Latin School vs. Boston Latin School
May 29, 2004; Charles River

Submitted by Dale Wickenheiser.

Distance: 2.5 miles
Conditions: Strong, gusty tail/cross winds. Flat water. Sunny.
Comments: Two of the youngest rowing programs from the two oldest public high schools in the US finally meet for a dual regatta. The race was contested between the boathouses where the programs row: Boston Latin at Community Rowing and CRLS at the Cambridge Boat Club. Run in the opposite direction of the Head of the Charles and begun at the upper end of river. The course included 5 turns, two bridges and finished just before the Eliot Bridge. Strong, clean rowing and well steered by both crews.
