Distance: 1,500 Meters
Conditions: Very strong tailwind, with moments of even stronger gusts. Water deteriorated from light chop in first 500 meters to heavy rollers in final 500 meters. Very tough conditions.
Comments: Order of racing: 5/6, 4, 2, 3, 1, alternating with girls races.
- Marianapolis, in its 2nd year, raced their first boat in the 3rd boat race (they were originally going to race against 2nd boats, but missed the start).
- Some of the lower boat races started over the start line due to the strong tailwind and relative inexperience of coxswains and rowers.
- In the B4, the Pomfret crew, all novices, caught several crabs and were so far behind in a particularly gusty race, that the referee ordered them to the dock.
