Conditions: No wind at the start line through the first 500m. In the last 1k of the race the breeze picked up to about 5mph. This was a steady breeze that came from the starboard side bow.
Comments: Thank you to Simsbury, Brookline, Shrewsbury, East Lyme, and Middletown for coming to Lake Quinsig. There was some very good racing today on all levels. The Simsbury girls had a clean sweep of the girls trophies. The Brookline boys won the 2V cup, and the St. John's boys won both the 1V and 3V cups. The B1V started 50m behind the line (1550m race) and the G1V started 20m behind the line (1520 race).
