Distance: 800 meters
Conditions: Strong quartering headwind from starboard, light to moderate chop. Conditions fairly consistent throughout the day.
Comments: In the boys' third boat race, the crews clashed oars with around 300 meters remaining. Deerfield caught a crab as a result. Because the margin was very close at the time of the incident, and because the matter was not raised early enough to allow a rerace, Pomfret and Deerfield coaches agreed to declare the result as a dead heat.
