Conditions: cool, overcast, with a moderate tailwind that perhaps gained in strength as racing went on, but not by much.
Water was bumpy but not rough.
Fairly fast conditions.
Comments: Derryfield had an oarsman racing in both their second and and third boats, so the racing went in the following order:
2nd boat, 1st boat, 3rd boat.
BB&N's 4th boat raced in the 3rd boat race, in a lane that passed through separate bridge arches from the 3rd boats.
