Distance: 3 1/4 miles
Conditions: Flat water with race aided by tide for first 1 3/4 miles and then against tide for last 1 1/2 miles.
Comments: All races were started with a racing start, rather than a timed head race format. Freshman race was marred by a boat stopping collision between the two crews at the big turn from Ballona Creek into the Marina. All other races were clear.
