My daughter suggested I submit the following for your photo of the day. It too could be captioned "Flood of 2010." This flood was in our basement. One of the boxes in storage that was effected had all of our son's race t-shirt trades in it. David was captain of Navy Lights, '07/'08. He's now a USMC Lieutenant in Afghanistan. I took this photo to send to him.

Tuesday night around 10pm the dam on Tempe Town Lake exploded and sent pieces 10 feet into the air. Between then and 7am there is no water left in our lake and who knows how long it will take to fix!

July 19 marks the 30th anniversary of the 1980 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. This is a picture of the 1980 Men's Olympic Team at their training camp in Brugge, Belgium. Once a sandal-clad rowing Gladiator of the cut-throat World Cup rowing arena, Adam Kreek now goes barefoot in sand and surf for the 'Beer League' rowing scene...still winning of course...blue ribbons though instead of gold medals.
