Hi Ferdinand
It is likely, that they both know that they are capable of taking the gold in the single scull at the Olympics if all goes to plan.
At their level, they know that rowing the single scull and getting ready to row in Beijing is more "peaceful" then cooking up a successful team boat for the Olympics in the remaining months.
Drysdale has more experience in a team boat than Rob Waddell.
In the end it comes down to the selection regatta.
If I were to select the crew... Rob would do the single and Mahe would be in either the double or the four.
