Christian Zangenberg, who joined Durham Boat Company, Inc. in January of 2008 as International Marketing Manager has been promoted to Operations Manager for Dreher USA - Durham Boat Company, Inc. effective August 3, 2009. His duties have been expanded to include control over Manufacturing Operations, Domestic Marketing and Sales as well as some key internal management functions. Zangenberg is concurrently Managing Director of Dreher Deutschland GmbH, which is Dreher USA - Durham Boat's European Marketing and Sales Company. The commercial operations of Dreher Deutschland will commence during the fall 2009.

Christian has started rowing at the age of 11 and rowed in a successful program in Magdeburg, Germany. Working his way from athlete to boatman and coaches assistant to a rowing industry professional allowed him to stay in the sport ever since he joined it. He also has a Master degree in Economics and Marketing from Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg, Germany. Christian was previously employed by BBG in various positions - from a student intern to the International and Domestic Sales Manager. Christian and his wife Manuela Lutze - a four time Olympic rower - reside in Durham, NH.
