The 2007 Junior National Team roster has been finalized, USRowing announced on Monday. Ten crews will represent the United States at the 2007 FISA World Rowing Junior Championships scheduled for August 8-11 in Beijing, China.
The U.S. will have crews competing in the women's single sculls, men's single sculls, women's double sculls, men's quadruple sculls, women's pair, women's four, men's four, men's four with coxswain, women's eight and men's eight.
The 41-person roster includes three members of the 2006 Junior National Team. Elise Wilson returns to the eight after winning a silver medal in the event last year. Caroline Nash, who finished eighth in the pair in 2006, joins Wilson in this year's eight. Suzanne Maddamma, who raced in the quadruple sculls last year, will race in the single sculls in Beijing.
At last year's junior world championships, the U.S. won two medals. The women's eight won the silver medal, tying the best-ever finish for a junior women's eight, and Lindsay Meyer won bronze in the women's single sculls, becoming the first female sculler in the U.S. to win a medal at the junior world championships.
