RCA President:
Carol Purcer Carol Purcer was announced as the incoming RCA President, serving a four-year term through until the 2021 Annual Meeting.
Carol brings extensive leadership and governance experience to the role of President. Purcer has served as an RCA Board member for many years in the role of Provincial Director, working closely with the Provincial Presidents on the Provincial Advisory Council. Carol volunteered on several committees including the role of Chair of RowOntario Master Championships and the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta for seven years.
"It is my privilege and honour to be elected as President of Rowing Canada Aviron", said Purcer. "We have much work to do to grow rowing across our country and I look forward to working with clubs and the people in our sport to achieve this."
RCA would like to thank outgoing President, Mike Walker. We recognize and celebrate Mike's accomplishments on behalf of RCA. Mike served as President for the past 4 years and prior to that, he was on the RCA Board as VP Domestic. He was an avid supporter of Canadian rowing and proudly represented our sport and our country at numerous international meetings and domestic events. Mike's knowledge of governance and policy was exceptional and had a tremendous impact on the association.

RCA also announced new members of the board - Director at Large - Marisha Roman (Toronto, ON) candidate statement and Dr. Jennifer Walinga (Victoria, BC). Athlete Director Peter McClelland also joins the board, elected by members of the current National team.
