BEIJING - Thursday's rowing competition at the 2008 Olympic Games has been postponed due to inclement weather. Thursday's races will be rescheduled for Friday starting at 2:10 p.m. local time (2:10 a.m. EDT) at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park. All races will be held at the same time on Friday as they were originally scheduled for on Thursday.
The U.S. will have boats racing in the semifinals of the lightweight women's double sculls, lightweight men's four and men's quadruple sculls. The top three finishers in each semifinal will advance to the finals. In addition, the U.S. will have three crews racing in B finals to determine their final placement.
The Olympic rowing competition features 548 rowers competing in 207 crews for 60 nations. Racing runs through Sunday, August 17. Finals will be held August 16-17.
