PRINCETON, N.J. - The roster for the 2015 Junior National Team has been set, USRowing announced on Monday. Thirteen crews will represent the United States at the 2015 World Rowing Junior Championships scheduled for August 5-9 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Junior world champions will be crowned in 13 events including the men's single sculls, women's single sculls, men's double sculls, women's double sculls, men's pair, women's pair, men's quadruple sculls, women's quadruple sculls, men's four, women's four, men's four with coxswain, men's eight and women's eight. The United States will have crews competing in all 13 events.
At the 2014 World Rowing Junior Championships in Hamburg, Germany, the U.S. won a silver medal in the women's four and a bronze medal in the women's pair.
Fourteen athletes return from the 2014 squad including women's four medalists Marlee Blue and Dana Moffat, who once again will be racing in the four. Other returning team members from 2014 include Andrew LeRoux, Emily Kallfelz, Emily Delleman, Elizabeth Sharis, Katy Gillingham, Shayla Lamb, India Robinson, Benjamin Cohen, Liam Corrigan, Andrew Gaard, Daniel Hogan and Charles Watt.
