USRowing is taking nominations for the following positions on its Board of Directors:
1. Athlete Advisory's Council (AAC) Alternate Athlete Representative (Female) Nominations are due July 24, 2015.
The position is open following the resignation of the "AAC Athlete Representative" (Esther Lofgren) and the elevation of the "AAC Alternate Athlete Representative" (Scott Gault) to the "AAC Athlete Representative" position. Per the AAC Bylaws, the two representatives must be of the opposite gender, so only female athletes who meet the AAC eligibility requirements are eligible to run for office.
The winner of the election will fulfill the remainder of the term on the USOC's Athlete Advisory Council and on the USRowing Board of Directors (through December 31, 2016). There are four in-person AAC meetings left in this term. These meetings require travel and are typically 1-2 day meetings over the weekend.
Prospective candidates must submit the attached forms Nomination Form (MS Word/PDF) and the Conflict of Interest Form with all required materials no later than the date indicated above to USRowing and acknowledge acceptance of the responsibilities and duties of the position that they seek by signature on the self-nomination form. All prospective candidates must meet the AAC Requirements below.
