For the first time in ten years Great Britain have become the overall leaders of the Rowing World Cup series. Totalling 161 points overall, Great Britain gained a total of 59 points during the third stage of the series this week-end. Behind them at this regatta, with seven medals and a regatta total of 42 points, New Zealand did not earn enough to get ahead of Germany, second, in the overall standing. Germany finish the World Cup season with 112 (33 points earned at this regatta), and China, despite only one boat present in Lucerne, still benefit from their incredible achievements at the second stage of the World Cup earlier this month to be placed third overall for the season.
