The 2013 Wakamole Trophy was contested under grueling conditions today in Windyanapolis. Questions arose about the fairness and safety of the course and the eligibility of some of the competitors. The hardy band of riggers dealt with severe crosswinds, a sodden, sinking quicksand of a pitch, and the additional hazard of falling tree limbs, which with the Wakamole "play it as it lies" rules, made an almost unplayable course even more difficult. The Riggers Guild retired to the local Boathouse Grille to consult with Commissioner in Absentia Mark Schofer and legal counsel to hopefully finalize results.
To make the situation even more chaotic, the priceless Wakamole Trophy suffered some slight wind related damage. The unofficial results presented here are subject to legal arbitration, which could lead to player disqualifications and/or a complete replay of the 2013 tournament at this site at a future date yet unknown.
