Due to the powerful flooding throughout much of New England this weekend, the St.Paul's School has evacuated and very likely closed for the school year. According to a row2k reader at the school, Turkey River and Turkey Pond flooded and sent surges of water through their campus; a notice from the rector on the St. Paul's site states that the waters divided the campus in two, and all students have been evacuated and were on the way home, or in temporary lodgings until they were able to make arrangements to go home.
This video shows the extent of the flooding and damage (as it happens, the video includes former Princeton lightweight Mike Hirschfeld).
The implications for the rowing team appear to be the same as those for the entire school, with the crews ceasing to compete henceforth.
The St. Paul's campus was one of the hardest hit parts of the region due to the rising of the river and pond; see a photo here: St. Paul's shuts campus . We will update this news as more information becomes available.
