Due to flooding on the Grand River and concern for damage of the racing shells due to increased debris, the 45th Annual Mid America Collegiate Rowing Association Championship Regatta will be relocated to Bass River Quarry in Ottawa County. The water is protected and without current. This is a six lane course that is 1850 meters long with plenty of room (an extra 1000 meters) for a pre race warm-up.
In order to run a smooth and successful regatta, we need your help in informing your team, friends, family, and supporters. The regatta location is about 15 minutes west of the Grand Valley State University campus. Attached you will find venue, parking instructions for trailers, vans/buses, and spectators, as well as local hotel iinformation. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to a great day of racing on Bass River Quarry.
We need help to pull this event off and make it the most successful MACRA ever. Everyone has a stake in this race just like you did if you were rowing in the boat. We are one big crew family and when everyone pulls their weight we will all be satisfied with the outcome.
