The Canadian men's eight were named winners of the "Partners of the Year" at the 35th Canadian Sport Awards (CSA), held Wednesday in Winnipeg, Man.
The crew is Kyle Hamilton of Richmond, B.C., Adam Kreek of London, Ont., Dominic Seiterle of Victoria, B.C., Malcolm Howard of Victoria, B.C., Jake Wetzel of Saskatoon, Sask., Andrew Byrnes of Toronto, Ont., Ben Rutledge of Cranbrook, BC, Kevin Light of Sidney, B.C., and (coxswain) Brian Price of Belleville, Ont. The heavyweight men's program trains in Victoria, B.C. under the leadership of coach Mike Spracklen.
Also of note, Dr. Roger Jackson (Olympic rowing gold medallist - 1964) was awarded the "Leadership in Sport Award"
