USRowing is pleased to announce the dates and locations of its 2008 National Championship Regattas. Each year, the organization hosts four championship events including the Youth National Championships, National Championships, Club National Championships and Masters National Championships. The events draw approximately 5,000 competitors.
The 2008 USRowing Youth National Championships once again will take place on Lake Harsha in Clermont County, Ohio, just east of Cincinnati. Now in its 14th year overall and third year as an official national championship event, the regatta features more than 1,300 athletes from 140 programs competing for national titles in 16 events. Hosted by Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club, the event is scheduled for June 13-15.
The 2008 USRowing National Championships, which feature elite-level racing in the 22 world championship and four adaptive world championship boat classes, will take place June 26-29 at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J. The regatta will feature the nation's top rowers as they make their final preparations for the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, world championships and under 23 world championships.
The 2008 USRowing Club National Championships will be held July 16-20 on the Cooper River in Camden County, N.J. Co-hosted by the Camden County Board of Freeholders and Cooper River Rowing Association, the regatta features more than 1,500 athletes competing for 67 national titles in junior, intermediate and senior-level events.
The 2008 USRowing Masters National Championships will be held August 14-17 at Marine Stadium in Long Beach, Calif. Hosted by Long Beach Rowing Association, the regatta will feature approximately 1,200 competitors racing for national titles in nearly 200 boat classes.
