INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Robbie Tenenbaum, USRowing’s junior women’s national team head coach, has decided not to return next season, USRowing announced Thursday.
Tenenbaum, who took over as head women’s coach in October 2001 after serving as a junior national team assistant coach for six years, led the junior women’s eight to medals at both the 2002 and 2003 FISA Junior World Rowing Championships. As both an assistant coach and head coach, Tenenbaum played a key role in developing the junior women’s program, which has won at least one world championships’ medal every year since 1999.
Tenenbaum, a full-time assistant coach at Ohio State University, has decided to step down in order to concentrate on his duties at OSU.
USRowing will now begin the process of selecting a new junior women’s national team head coach. Anyone interested in applying should contact Glenn Merry, USRowing’s Director of National Team Programs, at 317-237-5666 for more information.
