Mark Carroll has joined WinTech Racing as Midwest Sales Representative and the company's expansion throughout the Americas has been given forward momentum by the addition of Santiago Fuentes as Sales Representative for Mexico.
Carroll started rowing in high school as a member of the Loyola Academy (Wilmette, Illinois) crew and quickly became acquainted with the weather extremes and vast distances that challenge Midwestern rowers. He went East to college and rowed competitively with his twin brother Mike for Fairfield University in Connecticut. During college, he also was Youth Program Director and Rowing Instructor for the Norwalk River Rowing Association. Carroll returned to his home area and became head women's coach for the St. Ignatius College Prep crew in Chicago and has served as a member of the organizational and development board for the Chicago International Regatta.
Fuentes, a rower since 1980 and a coach since 1984, has served as Regatta Director, High Performance Director, Technical Director and National Teams Manager under the auspices of the Mexico National Federation Council. He has been a National umpire since 1997 and a FISA international umpire since 1999. As National Teams Manager for Mexico, Fuentes has participated in numerous international regattas and World Cup competitions, five World Championships, the Central American and Caribbean Games and two Olympics. He also introduced indoor rowing to Mexico and has trained over 300 indoor rowing instructors.
"Both of our new reps have the rowing and coaching experience that will enable them to provide superior customer service," notes Drew Harrison, president of WinTech Racing.
