Head Of The Charles is not just about rowing. It's about having fun, hanging out with friends and family-and listening to great music! Row-a-Palooza is a live two-day music festival, which takes place on Memorial Drive in Cambridge near the Weeks Footbridge. It's a short walk from the Harvard Square T stop. Thanks to its sponsors, including Nautica Jeans, it's free and open the public!
Now in its third year, Row-A-Palooza at the Head Of The Charles Regatta has consistently presented rising pop talent, as many of the musical acts of R-A-P through the years have had Top 40 songs and in-demand music videos. Nada Surf and Arrested Development will headline the 2006 lineup at Row-A-Paloozaa.
Artists from singer/songwriters, to rock and hip-hop bands will perform each day. A total of twelve bands will perform throughout Regatta weekend, each performing a forty-minute set. The first act takes the stage at 11:00 AM each day, and the jam-sessions continue until the headliners do their thing at 3:00 PM both Saturday and Sunday (10/21/06 & 10/22/06).
Nada Surf is Saturday headliner, whose hits include "Popular" and "Always Love." Their most recent release is "The Weight Is a Gift." Headlining on Sunday is Arrested Development, whose hits include "Tennessee," and "People Everyday." Their latest release is "Since the Last Time."
Nautica Jeans will be giving out plenty of cool swag throughout the weekend. Nautica has brilliantly sponsored Row-A-Palooza at Head Of The Charles since its inception at the 2004 Regatta, bringing top musical talent to the world's largest regatta. Other music sponsors this year include WFNX, Zone Perfect, and Gulf.
Come hear who's up-and-coming at this year's Head Of The Charles music-fest!
