JUNIOR COACH OF THE YEAR

Ethan Curren/CRI
Marked his 20th year coaching at CRI. Motivational and inspiring coach. Won Gold at Youth Nationals in Ltwt 8+ and Ltwt 2x. Won 5 events at Club Nationals. Qualified CRI girls for CanAmMex where they won several golds. Finished off the season with four golds at Canadian Henley.

Conal Groom/Seattle Rowing Center
Formed Seattle Rowing Center last winter with 10 rowers.Won 4 golds, 2 silvers, 2 bronze at Regionals this spring and at Youth Nationals won gold in Jr Mens Ltwt 2x and bronze in Jr Women’s 2x. Coached USRowing Sculling Dev Camp and is the coach of Lindsey Meyer and other elite rowers.

Andrew Lennox/Pittsford Crew
Assistant Coach of National Champion Women’s 4+ at US Youth Nationals. Assistant Coach of Top Club at NY State Champs. Dedicated coach who also works with his athletes off the water and fosters a strong team spirit. A new boathouse opened in September in his name.

Sally Morris/Exeter
2011- NEIRA ( New England Interscholastics) Won the overall points trophy and the top three Girls 8+s races; fourth place in Women’s 8+ at USRowing Youth Nationals. Has transformed Exeter Girls Crew into a high school rowing powerhouse.

Graham Willoughby/Marin
Coached Marin Boys to an undefeated dual season and to a National Championship by open water at Youth Nationals Won the Points Trophy at SW Regionals. Head Coach of the Junior Men’s High Performance Team which competed in Germany.
