While USRowing maintains a strong and long tradition of rewarding excellence in rowing, 2011 marks the first time that the rowing community will be invited to participate by nominating and voting on their favorite athletes and coaches of the year through the inaugural USRowing "Fan's Choice" Awards. Vote now!

JUNIOR ROWER OF THE YEAR

Rebecca Burns/Annapolis
Dedicated coxswain who persevered through challenging personal conditions all year including losing her mom. Successfully juggled coxing for both Junior and Masters teams. Coxed Men’s Jr 4+ and 8+ for Southeast Juniors at Club Nationals. Finished the summer by winning three gold medals at Masters Nationals.

Mia Croonquist/Vashon
Junior World Champion US Women’s 4-, 14 years old - one of the youngest competitors at Junior Worlds, silver medalist in Women’s 4x at US Youth Nationals

Lucy Grinalds/Connecticut Boat Club
Junior World Champion US Women’s 4-, US National Champion Junior 2-, bronze medal US Youth Nationals Women’s 8+, 2nd place Jr Ltwt Women Crash Bs

Chandler Lally/Radnor Crew
Stroked the gold medal winning Women's 4- at Junior Worlds, Won the Varsity 8+ at 2011 Stotesbury and finished second in the Varsity 8+ at Scholastic Rowing Association Championships

Nancy Miles/Seattle Rowing Center
Stroked Women’s 4x to a fourth place finish at Junior Worlds- best ever international performance by a US Junior quad, bronze medal in Women’s 2x at US Youth Nationals and gold at NW Regional in the Women’s 1x. First varsity High School race was November 2010.
