A crab in the life of a novice eight
by Josh Fien-Helfman
posted on October 16, 2003

I never send you photos of my crews for posting, I just put them up on our own webpage.. but this is a funny one. I would call it, "Whoah, Coach never told me that could happen." (because I didn't.)

The beauty of high school frosh/novice head race rowing is that this can happen, sometimes all the way down the course, and you can still medal (the Pine Crest frosh girls earned silver out of 6 crews.) The boat they're in weighs over 300 pounds. :)

Sincerely, Josh Fien-Helfman
