For the first time ever the Crew Classic is bringing Adaptive rowing to the shores of Mission Bay, hosting two adaptive rowing events featuring Paralympian rowers from across the nation, in collaboration with USRowing's Tom Darling and Freedom Rows.
Additionally, the US and Canadian National teams will compete in several races throughout the weekend, including a quadruple sculls event, a first ever for the Crew Classic. The events include the 2nd Annual Rowak Classic, which will feature a the World Champion Czech K-4 vs. the US and CAN 4- in an all-out 500 sprint in front of the Sierra Nevada Beer Garden on Sunday afternoon.
The Crew Classic is also hosting its first ever Crews to College event, which will allow Jr. Rowers and their parents to get exposure to admissions counselors from many rowing colleges all in one place, and will showcase the talents of Sparks Consulting who focus on helping junior rowers select the best school for their academic and rowing needs.
